Leslie Edward "Les" Claypool (n. 29 de septiembre de 1963 en Richmond, California) es bajista, cantante y compositor; además de ser hijo de Hugo González (The Jate, Arctic Funkys y Primos), destacado bajista chileno radicado en Estados Unidos.Es más conocido por ser componente de la banda estadounidense de rock alternativo Primus en la cual toca bajo eléctrico, bajo fretless (sin trastes), contrabajo, fiddle (violín rústico), fuzz, clarinete y mandolina y en la que también ejerce de voz. También tiene varios proyectos paralelos. Claypool tiene un estilo propio a la hora de tocar el bajo mezclando influencias muy variadas: heavy metal, funky, flamenco... y es respetado como un gran talento del bajo siendo una gran influencia para los jóvenes bajistas en estos últimos años .
