Porcupine Tree es una banda de rock formada en Inglaterra. Esta banda es el proyecto más exitoso del músico Steven Wilson, como lo evidencia su creciente popularidad. Con una mezcla de música psicodélica, rock progresivo, música ambiental y más recientemente heavy metal, ellos han desarrollado piezas musicales bastante impresionantes por su diversidad y por la calidad distintiva del sonido en sus grabaciones. Todo esto no debería ser sorpresa, debido al talento del ingeniero de sonido y productor Steven Wilson, ampliamente reconocido por sus trabajos y por la variedad de estilos musicales por los que ha sido influenciado.
